News Update: Sophia Bekele Celebrates Golden Jubilee with ISACA San Francisco Chapter

San Francisco, CA – July 30, 2026 – CBSegroup – the San Francisco–Bay Area partner and global consulting arm to DotConnectAfrica Group, attended the ISACA San Francisco Chapter’s 50th anniversary celebration. The milestone event, held at the City Club of San Francisco, marked five decades of the chapter’s contribution to the Tech and AI governance, audit, and cybersecurity community.

having served on its Board of Directors and as a long-term member during her career in Corporate America. She has continued to publish in ISACA newsletters and was a featured speaker at the chapter’s 2019 Fall Industry Conference, where she presented on business ethics with a session titled “The Market has no Morality.”

Bekele is also a frequent speaker at international ISACA events, including the ISACA Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) flagship conference. In 2025, she addressed the ISACA GRC Conference in New York on “AI-Driven Decision-Making for Competitive Advantage.” Previously, she spoke at the 10th Anniversary ISACA GRC Conference in Las Vegas in 2023 on “Digital Trust” and at the ISACA GRC International Forum in Orlando in 2022.

The 50th anniversary gathering provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with past colleagues and engage in meaningful networking with the ISACA community. It was a powerful reminder of the chapter’s lasting impact on the profession and the importance of community in navigating an ever-changing digital landscape.
