DCA celebrates International Women’s Month 2022 #breakthebias

DotConnectAfrica (DCA) Group joins the rest of the world in celebrating women of all races, cultures, religions, and statuses during March 2022.
This year, the United Nations theme for International Women’s Day on March 8th was “Gender Equal today for a sustainable tomorrow.”
Here at DCA, we are celebrating the entire month through various activities. We are excited to understand that gender equality and women’s rights are fundamental to sustainable development in society.
Therefore, we join hands to celebrate the tremendous efforts of women and girls around the world through the hashtag campaign #breakingTheBias at whatever cost.
To honour this women’s month, Fempower in conjunction with DCA WebForum will host a virtual conversation to discuss “How technology can help Break Gender Bias,” on March 26, 2022, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EAT. This virtual celebration will bring together high-level gender equality advocates as they amplify the voices of women and girls all over the world as well as share thoughts on how to keep placing them at the forefront.

In commemoration of this year’s International women’s day, March 8th, hear the insightful message from our Founder Sophia Bekele, who pioneered the Women-in-Tech (WIT) space in Africa over a decade ago by launching the Miss. Africa Digital program which is rebranded to Fempower.

She also announced the sixth round of Seed Funding inviting Women in Tech across Africa to apply. The call for applications has been extended to the end of 15th April 2022. See details below.

This year Fempower celebrated International Women’s Day in style:
